How ReloIQ works

A relocation offer is usually judged on the headline number, converted at today's exchange rate. That comparison is almost always wrong, because it ignores the two things that decide how you actually live: what the local tax system takes, and what the city costs to live in.

  1. Enter your current salary, along with the city and country you live in now.
  2. Enter the offer, the destination city, and how many adults and children are moving.
  3. ReloIQ returns net take-home pay on both sides, monthly cost of living, what you would realistically save each month, and a plain-language verdict on whether the move leaves you better off.

Where the numbers come from

Tax is calculated from bracket models per country rather than a flat percentage, so progressive rates and mandatory contributions are reflected in the result. Where a full model is not yet available for a country, ReloIQ falls back to a simplified estimate and labels the result accordingly.

Purchasing power uses World Bank PPP factors, which convert a salary into comparable living standards instead of a raw currency conversion. City costs cover typical monthly rent, groceries and transport across 33 cities in 18 countries, and exchange rates are refreshed rather than hard-coded.

There is no account and no sign-up. Your comparison history stays in your own browser, and a comparison is only shared if you deliberately create a share link for it.

What ReloIQ cannot tell you

This is a comparison tool, not tax advice. Your real liability depends on residency status, allowances, dependants and how your employer structures the package. The model also excludes equity, bonuses, relocation allowances, visa costs and international schooling, any of which can change the answer.

City figures are typical costs for a practical newcomer budget, not your personal circumstances. Treat the verdict as a well-informed starting point for negotiation and research, rather than a final answer.

Each country page covers the local tax structure, purchasing power, healthcare system and city living costs, so you can read up on a market before running an offer through the analyzer.
